With 450 years of Harrow’s legacy as our foundation, we empower our people to make a difference—whether by nurturing future leaders or driving the engine behind our world-class education.
Located within the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone and offering the HKDSE and IBDP curricula, our school cherishes traditions of learning and culture carried by our staff from the Hong Kong SAR, the Chinese Mainland and other countries, since we practice the belief that our strong array of inter-cultural resources are invaluable resources to advance student and staff learning, as all members of the school community learn with:
- Humility from the cultural strengths of other traditions;
- Courage while examining one’s cultural blind spots and accepting a hitherto ‘foreign’ cultural perspective into one’s values system; and
- Fellowship when learning from cultural diversity results in greater mutual understanding and acceptance, mutual trust, and complementary enrichment of mutual strengths.

OUR COMMUNITY
HHKCS’s HR Team consists of experienced professionals who offer personalised guidance to expat staff to get familiar with the metropolitan city of Shenzhen and who care for their well-being. Together with the SLT through the induction programme, they convey to new expat staff the values, policies and practices that constitute and develop the ethos of the school community. As house teachers, homeroom teachers and mentors, teachers develop academic, advisorial and pastoral bonds with students. The communication platforms of WeCom and Moments 365 groups, coffee mornings, curriculum and assessment briefings, parent education talks, student-led and parent-teacher conferences, and Friends of Harrow activities enable effective parent-teacher communication in the school community.
