Harrow HKCS Winter Fair Celebration 2025

At the end of December, HHKCS spent two days orchestrating a quartet interwoven with talent, warmth, kindness, and growth, interpreting the true essence of the season and the depth of education.

Boarding House Party · Symphony

On the evening of December 18th, the boarding ignited the Christmas festivities. Eighteen high-energy performances took turns on stage, where Cantonese classics, modern dance, guzheng melodies, and a live DJ set collided, showcasing the limitless potential of our students beyond the classroom.

Kevin captivated the entire audience with his heartfelt rendition of “Guxiang, wind” securing the championship. Through his sincere interpretation of this familiar hometown melody, he not only evoked deep emotional resonance but also beautifully demonstrated the moving fusion of cultural roots and personal expression.

The regular monthly birthday celebrations and the newly added all-floor Christmas carol sessions elevate the sense of warm ritual to its peak. This is more than just a party—it is a vivid reflection of HHKCS’s commitment to being student-centred and ensuring every child has the opportunity to shine.

Christmas Market· Co-creation

On December 19th, HHKCS transformed into a festive winter village. Hundreds of students, from kindergarten to G11, became stallholders in this community-wide effort.
The Friends of Harrow, alongside dedicated parents and teachers, provided crucial support.

The 30+ stalls offered food, crafts, and games, becoming real-world lessons in communication, collaboration, and responsibility. Here, children learned through real-world “commerce” and social interaction, while parents, the Friends of Harrow, and teachers witnessed the organic growth of education through this shared experience.

This “social practice class” held under the winter sun reaffirmed a core belief: true education extends far beyond the classroom—it takes root and flourishes in the shared soil of community. The most enduring and touching warmth grows and spreads boundlessly, precisely through this cycle of sincere giving and sharing.

Resonance of Music·Flowing

Music is the soul and pulse of every event. From solo performances and group dances to live student bands, from kindergarten holiday songs to award-winner encores, it flows like a warm river—connecting moments and carrying joy across our community.
At HHKCS, music is more than performance—it’s a language of expression. Through our “One-Student, One-Instrument” program, it connects every shining moment of campus life.
The musical foundation built through daily classes reached a warm crescendo at the Christmas Market on December 19. The school atrium became an open-air concert hall for two hours of uninterrupted, student-led performances—a true blossoming of music education. From graceful piano solos to vibrant guitar and drum ensembles, different instruments wove together in harmony.

Legacy of Charity · Echo

We believe festivals are about sharing, and education about giving back. That’s why all proceeds from the Christmas market were donated to our charity partner—Save the Children—as a gift from our whole community.
Every laugh and purchase on campus went beyond the festivities—becoming support that lights up children’s futures.
This kindness gives weight to our celebration and brings the values of HHKCS to life.
Thank you all. Though the Christmas events have ended, the talent, warmth, and kindness we shared remain our collective memory and strength. We look forward to creating more bright moments together at HHKCS.
